Just after 06h35AM, KZNVIP Control Centre received information via social media regarding a motor vehicle theft at a property on Pondfern Road, on Tuesday morning (22 July 2025).
All available KZN VIP Response Officers were immediately dispatched to the location. Upon arrival, KZNVIP Reaction Officers interviewed the vehicle owner who explained that he had started his silver Toyota Corolla to warm up the engine. He then briefly returned inside the house to collect something. Upon coming back outside, he discovered the vehicle had been stolen.
A neighbour reported seeing a silver Renault Triber (registration unconfirmed) parked outside the property during the timeframe of the theft.
