KZNVIP Response Officers attended to an armed hijacking incident that occurred on Nirvana Drive, Ottawa on the 28 August 2025.
It is believed that at 14h50 PM, an elderly victim was returning home when a vehicle stopped behind him as he entered his driveway. Two armed suspects exited the vehicle and held the victim at gunpoint before demanding his valuables.
The suspects then forced the victim out of his vehicle before fleeing the scene in an unconfirmed direction. The make and model of the suspects’ getaway vehicle remain unconfirmed at this stage.
Although the victim was not physically harmed during the incident, he was left traumatised. SAPS have been informed, and investigations are underway.
