Disabled elderly woman left fighting for her life after house fire

Midlands EMS Advanced Life Support paramedics, together with Midlands EMS Rescue Medics and a local ambulance service, were dispatched to Lidgetton following reports of a house that had caught alight with a disabled elderly woman trapped inside.

On arrival of paramedics, it was confirmed that a 63-year-old female had sustained severe burn injuries after being unable to escape the blaze. She was found in a critical condition and required urgent Advanced Life Support intervention on scene. Once stabilised, she was rapidly transported under the care of paramedics to a specialist hospital for further treatment.

The Fire Department, along with other relevant authorities, worked tirelessly on scene to bring the fire under control and ensure the area was safe.
