A black Honda Civic that was hijacked at 01:00 (Sunday) has been recovered by a Member of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA).
The Reaction Officer was despatched to investigate a suspicious motor vehicle on Hillcrest Drive – Buffelsdraai in KZN. While making enquiries, information was received that a man & his friends were hijacked and shot at after leaving a tavern during early hours of the morning.
When the owner was interviewed, he confirmed that a white Izuzu D Max (registration unknown) with several armed men had hijacked the vehicle and opened fire with handguns before fleeing.
The Honda Civic was abandoned due to a punctured tyre.
