Operation Restore members deployed in the Western Cape to curb gun violence, remain resolute to rid the streets of firearms and ammunition which threatens the safety of communities.
The members operationalised information received of firearms kept at a residence in Herschell Street, Ruyterwacht and accosted the identified premises where they initiated a search of the Wendy-house. During the search the members discovered a backpack which contained three firearms and ammunition of different calibres, which were seized. A 35-year-old man was arrested in connection with the discovery.
The suspect is expected to appear in the Goodwood Magistrates’ court once charged, for the unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition.
