As part of the #WomensMonth celebrations, a multidisciplinary roadblock was conducted in Vrede, led by women in law enforcement, to address crime prevention through stop-and-search operations.
During the roadblock, the team issued six fines to motorists who were found driving unroadworthy vehicles and disregarding basic traffic regulations in contravention of the Road Traffic Act.
The operation was a joint effort involving the Department of Traffic, Department of Health and the Community Police Forum, ensuring high visibility policing on public roads and concluding the Women’s Month activities on a strong note.
