On Saturday 09 August 2025 the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police department (EMPD) Overload Officers, attended to an accident scene at N12 direction East, in the Daveyton area.
Upon arrival, Officers found an unknown male between the ages of thirty (30) and thirty-five (35) lying in the middle of the road. It is alleged he was killed in a hit and run accident. The paramedics were called on scene and they declared the pedestrian dead.
A case of culpable homicide was opened for further investigation.
