Five-year-old Ntobeko Simphiwe Xaba (pictured), a Grade R student at Isipingo Primary School in Isipingo – KZN, has been missing since Friday, August 22, 2025.
The child was last seen playing outside his home in Q Section, Umlazi – KZN. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing a yellow track top and navy blue shorts.
There is suspicion that a neighbour may have abducted him, although this has not been officially confirmed. The neighbour has since fled and remains at large. Witnesses reported seeing her with the child.
On Friday afternoon, Simphiwe’s mother received a distressing call from an unidentified number, demanding a ransom of R50,000 for the child’s safe return.
