A stolen white Isuzu bakkie sought on the Umlazi SAPS Crime Administration System (CAS), was recovered today (Wednesday) by members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA).
Acting on a tip-off, Reaction Officers proceeded to an isolated area off the D866 in Ndwedwe, where they discovered the stolen double cab bakkie abandoned and partially stripped. Surrounding the vehicle were coverings from other cars, suggesting the site is a known hotspot for vehicle theft operations .
The recovered bakkie has been handed over to the Ndwedwe SAPS for further investigation.
