Two suspects were apprehended by KZNVIP officers following reports from community members regarding individuals in possession of suspected stolen property, on 1 August 2025.
KZNVIP Control Centre received the tip off and immediately dispatched Response Officers to the location.
Upon arrival, KZNVIP Reaction Officers conducted a search and found the suspects in possession of various items for which they could not provide receipts or a reasonable explanation. Officers also discovered copper piping that had been cut into smaller pieces, further raising suspicion of theft.
SAPS was notified and responded to the scene. The suspects were detained for further investigation.
