A tragic crash claimed the life of a 12 year old girl following a single vehicle accident on the M41, joining the N2 southbound from Phoenix towards KwaMashu, on the morning of Tuesday, 16 September 2025.
KZNVIP Medical Teams, together with multiple other emergency services, responded to reports of the serious crash. Upon arrival, first responders found a single vehicle that had overturned.
Sadly, a young passenger was ejected from the vehicle and was declared deceased on scene by KZNVIP paramedics.
Three other occupants sustained injuries and were stabilised at the scene by KZNVIP Medics before being transported to a medical facility for further care.
The circumstances surrounding the crash cannot be determined at this stage, pending a SAPS investigation.
The roadway was obstructed, causing major traffic delays. Metro Police, SAPS and all relevant emergency services attended the scene.
