NGQELENI – The Tactical Response Team with its Reece team followed up information about a 29-year-old male of Ntibane locality in Ngqeleni who is in possession of the firearm.

At about 21:30, members spotted the suspect who was found in possession of a 9mm pistol with its serial number erased and one round of live ammunition. The suspect could not produce proof of ownership for the firearm.

Further investigation led police to the suspect’s homestead, where more prohibited firearms were discovered. The team confiscated two shotguns, two homemade guns, and a shotgun shell.
