An SAPS constable and his brother have been linked to the suspects who were shot dead in KwaMashu this morning.
They have both since been arrested.
Two vehicles – including one used to drop off the two suspects here – were seized.
The second had been stolen from Cato Manor in 2023.
SAPS bulletproof vests, explosives and two guns were also found in the hideout.
The dead suspects are foreign nationals, who travelled here from JHB to allegedly commit a cash heist today.
Police officers from KZN – working closely with their Gauteng counterparts – were able to foil the robbery.
