A homeowner in Chardale Crescent, Newlands West was held at gunpoint by suspects in a silver Toyota Etios, who stole an undisclosed amount of valuables before fleeing, on the night of 17 September 2025.
KZNVIP Control Centre received the call and immediately dispatched all available Response Officers, just after 20h40 PM.
Upon arrival, KZNVIP Response officers met the homeowner, who confirmed that four to five suspects stopped outside his property in a silver Toyota Etios. Three armed men exited the vehicle, threatened him at gunpoint and stole an undisclosed amount of valuables before speeding off in an unknown direction.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
KZNVIP Officers patrolled the area, but the suspects’ vehicle could not be located. The case has been handed over to SAPS Newlands for further investigation.
