The TMPD is deeply concerned about the recent increase in pedestrian arrests on highways across Tshwane. More than 100 pedestrians are arrested every week. It is illegal to be on the highway; it poses a danger that may lead to severe consequences.
To prevent these arrests, we urge the public to refrain from being on highways. Highways are designed for vehicles moving at high speeds.
