The Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) Eastern Region Task Team Officers, in conjunction with the Gauteng Traffic Wardens, arrested five (5) between the ages of twenty-four (24) and fifty-two (52) years, in the Tsakane area.
With the continuous purpose of removing drugs in the communities, Officers followed information from a reliable source, about individuals selling illegal substances in the community. Officers visited multiple residents in the area and found suspects in possession of cannabis (dagga), rock, CAT, crystal meth, nyaope and mandrax, all estimated at a total street value of R27 820.
The group was arrested and detained at the Tsakane Police Station, facing charges of possession of illegal substances. They are expected to appear at the Tsakane Magistrate’s Court soon.
