A shooting incident has left one person dead on Challen Avenue in Northcroft, Phoenix, this afternoon, 23 September 2025.
KZNVIP Emergency and Medical response teams arrived on scene to find an Indian male with a fatal gunshot wound to the head. Despite immediate medical assessment, the victim showed no signs of life and was declared deceased by KZNVIP paramedics.
According to witnesses from the area, two males were seen exiting the premises shortly after gunshots were heard. Two spent cartridges were recovered at the scene.
The motive behind the shooting cannot be confirmed at this stage. SAPS Phoenix and other emergency services were in attendance and investigations are currently ongoing.
