In the early hours of Saturday morning, our Centurion CERT crew responded to a serious motor vehicle collision on the R101 (Old Johannesburg Road) outside the Zwartkop Airforce Base.
Four people were injured when the utility vehicle they were traveling in, veered off the road, and overturned.
Two young female passengers, one a high school pupil, sustained serious injuries after being flung from the vehicle during the crash.
The driver sustained moderate injuries.
Another passenger sustained minor injuries.
The two critical patients were stabilised on scene and transported to nearby hospitals in a critical condition, while the driver and remaining passenger were transported in a stable condition.
The exact events leading up to the incident remain unclear, and SAPS has opened an accident report.
