Nigerian national male arrested in Polokwane for possession and dealing in drugs worth R40,000

POLOKWANE – The Provincial Organised Crime Unit members, in collaboration with the Narcotics Unit, arrested a 37-year-old Nigerian national for dealing and possession of drugs valued at approximately R40 000 in Polokwane on Friday, 12 September 2025 at about 10:30.

The team acted on intelligence about a male suspect allegedly selling illicit drugs along Paul Kruger Street. The operational team tactically approached the identified suspect and conducted a search.

The suspect was found in possession of Crystal Meth, Heroin, and Rock drugs, all packaged in transparent plastic bags. The combined estimated street value of the seized drugs is R40 000.

The suspect was immediately arrested and is facing charges of dealing and possession of drugs. He is expected to appear before the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 15 September 2025.

Police investigations are continuing.
