The Police in Westenburg have arrested a 44-year-old male suspect for pointing a firearm in Ladanna, Westenburg policing area on Thursday, 18 September 2025.
The Police received a complaint of a male person a (customer) threatening to shoot an employee a (teller) in a shop at Ladanna, Polokwane.
They responded swiftly to the scene and found the alleged suspect still at the shop. During the interview, the suspect agreed to have pointed a teller with a firearm, which was inside his vehicle. The preliminary investigation led the officers to recover more firearms at his workshop.
Another firearms, four rifles and ammunition were seized at his farm.
The suspect alleged that the firearms belonged to one of his customers who brought the vehicle for service at his workshop.
The 44-year-old male suspect was then arrested for pointing of a firearm and possession of suspected unlicensed firearms and ammunition.
The arrested suspect will appear before Polokwane Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 22 September 2025, for possession of suspected unlicensed firearms and ammunition.
