Location: Near N1 and Zambesi

Time of Incident: 17:10
PVES members responded to a young male patient who had sustained a severe neck injury following an assault. On arrival they stablelized the patient but they needed the PVES Critical Care team.
Immediate life-saving interventions were performed, including the application of QuickClot hemostatic gauze and continuous direct pressure for 30 minutes until an ambulance arrived.
Due to significant delays in provincial ambulance response, Black Eagle stepped in and generously provided emergency patient transport pro bono.
