3 Suspects Arrested in a Suspected Vehicle Theft Syndicate which was Cracked in Multi-Disciplinary Operation, In Verulam and Inanda

Three suspects have been arrested following a joint operation in Verulam and Inanda, where stolen vehicles, motorcycles and several power tools, taken from across Durban over the past four months, were successfully recovered on Thursday, 2 October 2025.

The recovery is linked to a syndicate believed to have been operating for an extended period.

The operation, carried out by Verulam Crime Prevention, CarTrack tracking agents, KZNVIP Protection Services and SBA Security, led to the arrests of three suspects.

Information received regarding a stolen motorcycle in the Verulam/Inanda area directed enforcement teams to a location where one bike, a Hyundai H100 bakkie and several stolen power tools were recovered. One suspect was arrested on scene.

A short while later, two additional suspects were arrested at another location, where two more vehicles, two motorcycles and additional stolen power tools were recovered.

All exhibits were transported to Verulam SAPS, where the three suspects are being processed.

KZNVIP has commended the excellent collaboration between all partners, which ensured the successful recovery of stolen property and the arrests of those involved.
