At approximately 20h05, KZNVIP Emergency Control Centre received multiple distress calls requesting urgent assistance, reporting a shooting incident with one person reportedly injured and lying on the floor.
KZNVIP promptly dispatched Tactical Units and Response Officers to the scene to provide necessary support and assistance.
Upon arrival at the scene, KZN VIP Response Officers reported that a 1x black male, identified as a known resident in the area, had sustained multiple gunshot wounds inflicted by a high-caliber firearm.
Regrettably, the victim was pronounced deceased (P4) at the scene. No further updates are available at this time.
All relevant Emergency Services have been notified, and KZN VIP Tactical and Response Officers have secured and cordoned off the area to facilitate further investigation.
