KZNVIP Response Officers attended to a distressing scene in Weylen Close, Lenham, Phoenix, after a body was discovered on Sunday afternoon, 12 October 2025.
KZNVIP Emergency Control Centre received a request for assistance from local CPF members following reports of a body found in the area, at 14h30 PM. Response Officers were immediately dispatched to investigate.
Upon arrival, KZNVIP Response Officers discovered the body of a black male, estimated to be between 25 and 30 years old, wrapped in a blanket. A preliminary assessment revealed no visible signs of trauma or injuries. As per bystanders the male is a known drug user from the area.
According to information on scene, a female passerby made the discovery and immediately alerted CPF members after becoming distressed.
All relevant emergency services were notified and attended the scene.
