The Durban Metro Police Service confirms the arrest of a DMPS officer and a motorist after a bribery incident yesterday. The officer was caught accepting a bribe; the motorist was arrested for offering it.
DMPS condemns corruption in the strongest terms. We are committed to integrity, accountability, and public trust.
Public Notice: Bribing or attempting to bribe a police officer is a criminal offence. Both givers and receivers will face prosecution.
