POTCHEFSTROOM – The police in Orkney are requesting for community assistance in locating a 53-year-old male, Elvis Vers, who resides on Frende Road, Orkney.
He was last seen by fellow mine employees early on Friday morning, 2 May 2025, when they were on duty and went down the mineshaft. Upon reporting off duty, they noticed that Mr Elvis Vers was not amongst them and reported it to their supervisor. A search was conducted at the mine and surrounding areas without success.
Extensive investigations were done and all leads were followed up with no success. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing a white mine overall, with orange arm and leg reflective strips, with a red hard hat and black gumboots. He is brown in complexion, has brown eyes, he weighs 92kg and is 1.7m tall, he is bald, has no beard and a short moustache.
