On Tuesday, 30 September 2025, at approximately 18:00, Ensure Security was alerted to an incident involving a male suspect causing malicious damage to property on Florida Road.
Reports from the scene indicated that the suspect appeared to be on a rampage, damaging municipal property before throwing an object at a shop front, smashing a window, and attempting to flee.
An eyewitness description of the suspect was quickly circulated, enabling a positive identification to be made. Swift response and coordinated follow-up resulted in the successful apprehension of the suspect.
The individual was remanded into the custody of the South African Police Services (SAPS) for further investigation and processing.
