The Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) Kwa-Thema Precinct Officers, conducted a drunk and driving strategic operation, which resulted in four (4) male suspects between the ages of nineteen (19) and forty-four (44) years, in the Kwa-Thema.
In conjunction with other Eastern Region Precincts, the operation was conducted on Nkosi Streets and Kgaswane street, where a motorists were found driving a motor vehicles under the influence of alcohol, over the legal limit. One of the passengers of the motorist arrested, started to interfere with the duties of the Officers, and he was arrested after several warnings.
The suspects were detained at the Kwa-Thema police station and will appear before the Magistrate’s court soon.
