A man was shot and killed in what appears to be a targeted execution on Drinham Close in Westham, Phoenix – KZN this afternoon (Sunday).
Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) received a call for assistance at approximately 20:19. An eyewitness informed Reaction Officers that the victim was seen standing on the road when a white bakkie drove past. Three gunshots were fired from the vehicle as the male walked away. The bakkie fled the scene immediately. Three spent rifle cartridges (picture 2) were recovered.
No registration details were noted, and the motive behind the killing has not yet been established.
