The Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) Germiston North Precinct Officers, arrested a forty (40) year-old male suspect for possession of a stolen vehicle in the Primrose area.
While conducting a law enforcement duties, at the intersection of Wychwood and Main Reef Roads, Officers stopped and searched a silver Mercedes-Benz sedan driven by the suspect.
A systematic verification of the vehicle was conducted using the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). The enquiry revealed that the vehicle had been reported stolen in 2025 and was linked to a case registered in Maitland, Durban.
The suspect was immediately placed under arrest and detained at Primrose Police Station. He is expected to appear before the Germiston Magistrate’s Court soon on charges relating to the possession of a stolen vehicle.
