A case of Child Abandonment has been opened for investigation by the Grahamstown SAPS.
At approximately 14:00 on 5 April 2018, a Doctor from the local hospital was driving his car on Milner Street and witnessed a group of women with a small baby.
He stopped and on inquiry, he was informed that the mother of the baby is unknown and the infant was found along the street.
The baby boy child appears to be in good health and was taken to Settlers Hospital. No arrests have been made.
