The Kimberley Vehicle Crime Investigating Unit requests the assistance of the public in tracing, 50-year-old Stephen Mandari, a Zimbabwean national, in solving a number of vehicle theft cases.
Stephen who is believed to be in Cape Town, modus operandi is to track members of the public who sell their vehicles on social media and show interest in their vehicles by linking them up with his brother/cousin who operates from Kimberley to view the vehicles.
The brother/cousin would normally act satisfied and contact his brother/cousin in Cape Town to make a decoy payment to the seller who would hand over the vehicle when getting a payment notification on his phone.
