A man has been arrested for the Murder of his grandmother & Attempted Murder of his mother in Phoenix – KZN.
On Monday (09/06/2025), the accused brutally attacked both females in their home in Hexham – Phoenix in Kwazulu Natal. The 83 year old woman sustained multiple stab wounds to her head, body and face. She was pronounced deceased on scene. The second female had her throat slit with a large butcher knife (pictured) during the attack. She was stabilised on scene and remains in a critical condition in hospital (location withheld).
Detectives from the Phoenix SAPS in KZN requested statements this morning (Wednesday) from members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) after the critically injured woman confirmed that he son was responsible for her injuries while Paramedics were trying to stabilise her on scene.
Crucial Information & images are being withheld from the public pending the investigation.
This arrest was effected by the South African Police Services (SAPS). Reaction Officers were not instrumental in apprehending the suspect.
