An intoxicated thirty-three (33) year old driver fled the scene of an accident & returned thirty (30) minutes later.
At 12:11 (Saturday) Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) received several calls for assistance on the Inanda Road – Tea Estate in KZN after two light motor vehicles (LMV) had collided. Paramedics &
Reaction Officers arrived on scene & found that a red Kia Sportage & blue Renault Kwid had collided at a t- junction.
The driver of the Renault Kwid had fled the scene leaving behind his passengers. When Reaction Officers made enquiries the intoxicated passengers explained that they were all consuming alcohol & the driver had left the scene prior to arrival of First Responders.
Friends transported the drunk driver back to the scene approximately 30 minutes later.
