ROME, October 27, 2025 – This morning, at the General Command of the Carabinieri in Rome, in the presence of the General Commander, Gen. C.A. Salvatore Luongo, the presentation ceremony has been held for the new cars intended for the urgent transportation of organs and blood: Maserati MCPURA and Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio, both in institutional livery.
In addition to the General Commander, the event was attended by a delegation from the General Command, including the Chief of Staff, Gen. C.A. Andrea Taurelli Salimbeni, and the Head of the IV Department “Logistical Support to the Forces”, Gen. D. Antonio Di Stasio. Representing Stellantis were Chief Executive Officer Antonio FILOSA, Head of Enlarged Europe and European Brands Emanuele CAPPELLANO, Alfa Romeo Brand Manager and Maserati COO Santo FICILI, and Stellantis Italy Managing Director Antonella BRUNO.
Both cars have been equipped with special equipment for the rapid and safe transport of organs and blood, ensuring maximum efficiency in medical missions.
The former is a high-performance coupé with a 630-CV twin-turbo V6 Nettuno engine with patented pre-chamber technology, equipped with a carbon-fiber monocoque and designed to guarantee speed and stability even in the most demanding conditions, with the latest generation of technological solutions.
The latter is distinguished by the legendary Quadrifoglio Verde, the symbol of Alfa Romeo’s DNA. It has a 520-CV twin-turbo V6 engine combined with a mechanical self-locking differential, rear-wheel drive, sports suspension and safety equipment dedicated to operational needs.
These models, a symbol of Italian excellence, combine high performance, reliability and safety, responding to the operational needs of the Carabinieri in public utility services.
The initiative confirms the strategic collaboration between Stellantis and the Carabinieri, aimed at guaranteeing technologically advanced vehicles for delicate and vitally important missions.
This is the first time a Maserati car has been used by the Carabinieri, although the partnership between Alfa Romeo and the Carabinieri is historic, having begun after World War II; the force’s first Alfa Romeo was the 1900 M “Matta” in 1951. One year later, the 1900 sedan became the first “Gazzella“, which stands for emergency response in the Carabinieri’s vernacular. Its direct descendant was the 1960s Giulia, used from 1963 to 1968. Since then, the link between the Carabinieri and Alfa Romeo has continued over the years, with the Alfetta, 90, 75, 155, 156 and 159 and all the way to the Giulia Quadrifoglio.
Thanking the Chief Executive Officer and the other executives in attendance, the General Commander, Gen. C.A. Salvatore Luongo, emphasized that the collaboration with Stellantis represents “not only an alliance between Italian automotive excellence and institutional operational efficiency, but a true alignment of purpose in service of the community. The operational reliability of these vehicles is a vital tool for saving lives. And when we speak of saving lives, we refer to the highest mission an Institution can pursue, and the noblest service one can offer to their community.”
“We are proud to provide to the Carabinieri two cars that represent the best of Italian technology and design,” said Stellantis CEO Antonio Filosa. “The Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio and Maserati MCPURA are not only symbols of performance and style, but concrete tools to ensure speed and safety in missions of vital importance. This collaboration testifies to our commitment to combining automotive excellence and social responsibility.”
This important delivery reaffirms the strong partnership between Stellantis and the Carabinieri Corps-a synergy that highlights the excellence of the Group’s products not only in support of public safety and law enforcement, but also across the full spectrum of activities in which the Carabinieri are engaged.
