Members of the Namakwa District Task Team, operationalized information received regarding two male suspects allegedly en route from Nababeep, to collect drugs in Bergsig.
The suspects were reported to be travelling in a white Toyota Corolla.
Police members swiftly responded and spotted the vehicle in Waterkant, Bergsig.
Upon noticing the police, the suspects attempted to evade arrest but were intercepted in Maarman Street, Bergsig.
During the search, members discovered mandrax tablets concealed on the passenger side of the vehicle. The estimated street value of the seized drugs is R33 800.00.
Two suspects aged 24 and 25, were arrested for dealing in drugs and will appear in the magistrate court soon. The Namakwa Saps remains committed to ensuring a #saferfestiveseason, by removing drugs from our communities and bringing perpetrators to justice.
