An alleged thief was apprehended after several items were stolen from a retail outlet in the Verulam CBD – KZN today (Saturday, 13/06/2026).
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were called out after the owner of a store on Wick Street reported that merchandise and a cellphone had been stolen at approximately 08:00. CCTV footage was reviewed and the alleged perpetrator was identified.
The Businessman tracked and located the alleged thief at approximately 10:30 before apprehending him. The stolen property, including an Honor 50 cellphone with a cracked screen, two (2) jackets and a REDBAT tote bag containing personal belongings, was recovered.
Reaction Officers released the suspect after the complainant declined to register a criminal case.
