Assistance was required by Interpol to trace and apprehend fugitives that are wanted for armed robbery and murder of a police officer that occurred in Swaziland December 2021.
Description and warrant of arrest documents were supplied and possible location. Durban Metro Police Members were to pay attention in the Durban CBD. An operation between the District Trio and Metro Trio was conducted whereby some members were strategically placed on foot and some on motor patrol.
Three suspects were seen and one fitted the description(same clothing in photo) on Anton Lembede Street and Joe Slove street and when they noticed that they were followed, they decided to run. They were pursued and apprehended outside Shoprite.
One suspect was positively identified.
A further investigation and suspect tracing was conducted in the inner west areas with no arrests but positive
information. The suspect was detained at Durban North South African Police Service station.
