Passenger found in possession of an unlicensed firearm along with ammunition

While patrolling around Eldorado Park, members of the Gauteng Traffic Wardens and SAPS spotted a suspicious VW Polo with two male occupants. Upon stopping and searching the vehicle, officers discovered that the passenger was in possession of an unlicensed firearm along with ammunition.

Further investigations revealed that the firearm had been reported stolen, as per a case opened at Eldorado Park SAPS. The pistol is confirmed to belong to a private security company.

The suspect was arrested for possession of an unlicensed firearm and possession of suspected stolen property.
