Members of Public Order Policing followed up on information about drugs that are being transported from Kwazulu-Natal to Cape Town on a passenger bus on Thursday, 26 March 2026. The off duty members placed themselves on duty and waited for the bus to arrive in Somerset West.
The identified suspect’s luggage were searched and 6500 synthetic Cathinone tablets with an estimated street value of R520 000 were found in the luggage bags. The 35-year-old female was arrested for dealing in drugs.
She will appear in the Bellville Magistrates’ court on Monday.
