Efforts to eradicate the distribution of drugs in our communities, landed two adult males behind bars when members of the Worcester Anti-Gang Unit arrested them on Tuesday afternoon for the possession of drugs.
The members received information about drugs at a house in Jack Avenue, Zweletemba, Worcester, and followed up on the information. Upon arrival at the identified address the members found two males at the premises and while they were trying to get inside the house one of the males threw a plastic bag out through the window. The plastic was picked up and 1009 mandrax tablets and six half mandrax tablets were found in the bag. The estimated street value of the drugs is R40 000-00.
