The Minister of Transport, Mr. Fikile Mbalula, accompanied by the MEC of Transport, Community Safety and Liaison of KwaZulu Natal, Mr. Sipho Hlomuka today visited the King of the Zulu nation Misuzulu kaZwelithini where Minister Mbalula gave a status update on infrastructural development and the recent fateful Phongola truck accident.
The Minister announced a number of interventions to improve infrastructure delivery, including the Sandlwana roads which were requested by the late King Goodwill Zwelithini kaBhekuzulu to promote tourism and economic growth.
The government outlined plans to expand the N2 in Phongolo and ensure the safety of commuters.
