A Hyundai H100 bakkie that was hijacked by three suspects was recovered in a bush in Ndwedwe – KZN by Reaction Officers.
The bakkie was delivering bread in Ntapuka in Ndwedwe – KZN when three men confronted the driver and his assistant. They produced firearms and forced them back into the vehicle before they drove off.
They dropped off both victims on the P100 in Ndwedwe – KZN before turning onto an unpaved road.
The driver contacted his employer who activated the vehicle’s tracking device. Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) received co-ordinates from Tracker and proceeded to the area. The bakkie with its load of bread was recovered abandoned in a bush.
The suspects forced opened a safe and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The victims were not injured.
