Yesterday afternoon, Mi7 teams received information regarding a courier van that was hijacked in the Thornville area. It is believed four suspects, carrying firearms and travelling in a Toyota Etios, hijacked the courier van.
The details of the stolen vehicle were loaded onto the Mi7 Surveillance Net, which found that it was last detected headed into the Edendale area. Further coordinates were then received from members of the vehicle’s tracking company. This led teams to the Henley Dam area where they found the vehicle abandoned.
The matter was handed over to the police for further investigation.
