Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were dispatched to a property north of Durban in Ethekwini – KZN at approximately 23:10 after receiving reports of a robbery that occurred yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon.
Upon arrival, Reaction Officers interviewed the victims and established that three suspects, two of whom were armed with firearms, had forcefully entered the property. All three suspects were on foot.
They stole several electronic items before taking the keys to a red Hyundai i10 and fleeing the scene in the vehicle. The suspects were last seen heading in the direction of Hazelmere – KZN.
Officers later obtained GPS coordinates from the vehicle’s tracking company and proceeded to the indicated location. The Hyundai i10 was recovered abandoned on a gravel road. A rear boot cover was found discarded near the vehicle, and the keys were discovered on the back seat.
An HP laptop and two cellphones, a Huawei and an Honor 400 Lite, were also taken during the robbery.
