A 17-year-old female was injured while being robbed of her cell phone in Verulam – KZN this morning (Friday).
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were called out to the scene at approximately 07:54. On arrival, Reaction Officers met the victim who stated that she was walking to school when she was confronted by a lone suspect. He produced a knife and deprived her of a Techno Spark cellphone. The teenager sustained a laceration after she onto the blade of the knife. The suspect thereafter fled through a bush.
Reaction Officers conducted an extensive search, but no arrests were made.
