A Black Mamba measuring 2.2 meters was captured on a property in Osindisweni – KZN today (Monday).
A resident contacted the Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) Operations Centre for assistance after they spotted the reptile in an outbuilding. RUSA Member Nkosinathi Ndaba responded to the call for assistance and on arrival located the snake behind a wardrobe. The Officer captured the high venomous reptile without incident.
The snake with be handed over to a reptile park for medical evaluation before release.
