Just after 07h05 on Monday, 11 August 2025, a resident on Long Island Avenue in Ottawa reported an African male who gained entry into their premises. Immediately KZNVIP And Telesecure Street patrol were dispatched.
Upon arrival, the suspect attempted to flee the property with an undisclosed amount of valuables. KZNVIP Tactical Response Officers arrived promptly, and together with Telesecure SA Protection Services, the suspect was successfully apprehended and the valuables were recovered.
Unfortuantely, the resident declined to open a case as the suspect is known in the area.
Residents are urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity immediately.
