The distribution of drugs in Western Cape was dealt a blow on Friday, 15 August 2025 in Lutzville.
Members of the Namaqualand K9 Unit and Lutzville detectives were busy with tracing operations when they noticed a vehicle stopping next to the road and a female getting out of the vehicle with a bag and went to hide it in the bushes. The members stopped the vehicle before they left and searched the bag and the occupants of the vehicle. They found 600 mandrax tablets and a plastic packet containing 150 grams crystal meth in the bag. The estimate value of the drugs is R82 500. Two males, aged 31 and 33, and a 45-year-old female were arrested for the possession of drugs.
The suspects are due to appear in court on Monday 18 August 2025.
