Three (3) armed suspects forced entry into a House on Mugani Road in Zwelisha – KZN during the early hours of this morning (Wednesday, 01 April 2026) at approximately 02h30.
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were called out to the scene following a report of a House Robbery in progress. Reaction Officers arrived shortly thereafter and found the complainant with visible injuries. Officers secured the scene and conducted an interview to establish the sequence of events.
The 41 year old male informed Reaction Officers that three (3) suspects, all armed with 9mm firearms, approached the property and kicked open the wooden lounge door (pictures 1 & 3). The suspects then reached through a broken panel of the door while pointing a firearm before forcing the door open and gaining entry.
The suspects demanded keys to his white Isuzu KB300 bakkie with registration CS75 DX ZN before striking him on the left side of his head with a firearm, causing an open wound. A scuffle ensued between the complainant and the suspects, however he was overpowered in his bedroom and instructed to lie flat.
The suspects proceeded to steal a 42 inch television, two (2) cellphones (Honor & Samsung A16) and a small carry side bag. The stolen items were loaded into the complainant’s vehicle before the suspects locked the burglar guard and fled the scene in the bakkie.
An extensive search was conducted for the vehicle and the suspects, but no arrests or recoveries were made.
